Games children play - 6 month

MTCS is about to launch a 6 month study - concluding on the 15th of August 2008. This study will be looking at games children play throughout the UK.

Based on the 1969 book published by Iona and Peter Opie, Tradtional Games in the Street and Playground, the MTCS study will attempt to identify which games are still played, which games are no longer played and which games have evolved.

To do this we will require the help and support of all of our colleagues in the Playwork sector. The outcome of the study will be available FREE of charge as a PDF file later in the year.

MTCS will be circulating surveys for Playworkers to complete when talking to children but will also be conducting an online survey for children and young people to complete.
