Playwork Partnerships
Playwork Partnerships, based at the University of Gloucestershire, is best described as a "networking organisation" and is currently made up of the following components:
- University of Gloucestershire
- Playwork Learning & Skills
- Playwork Projects
Our mission is to enrich children and young people's lives through their experience of quality play by:
- promoting the importance of play and playwork and
- increasing the learning opportunities for playworkers
Playwork Partnerships has 5 strategic priorities.
- To promote awareness and understanding of play and Playwork, by acting as a conduit for information, communicating to people at all levels, within the profession and beyond.
- To promote the power and capacity of Playwork by supporting the Playwork development agenda regionally, nationally and internationally.
- To increase access to Playwork qualifications, training and learning by building and maintaining a robust and well resourced local, regional and national Playwork infrastructure.
- To develop and market a co-ordinated package of Playwork learning products that support continuing professional development needs within the industry.
- To ensure the viability and sustainability of Playwork Partnerships by attracting external funding on a systematic and on-going basis.
