Playwork Counts 1998

This report on the Playwork Industry Census, conducted by the Pleiad project in the spring and early summer of 1998, investigates the main activities of playwork providers in the South West region of England. The census asked playwork leaders and managers about the services they provide, the staff they employ and the qualifications held by their playworkers. It also gauged opinion on a number of pertinent issues and invited general comments on future developments in training in particular.

This is the final report of the Pleiad Project, a European Social Fund supported project with a total value of £6 million. The project covered 8 counties across the south west of England and aimed to support the professionalisation of the playwork industry.
